ENC 1101 Outcome Reflection
Writing Processes & Adaptation
Students will be able to describe and reflect on writing processes to adapt them to support their goals flexibly.
With the help of peer reviews and teacher feedback, I was able to find the flaws and pros of my writing and edit it to sound more concise and proper to the goal of the assignment. I have also done several reflections on the feedback I was given, which helped me realize and document how I have fixed my writing and what I would like to improve in the future.

Multiple Literacies & Goal Setting
Students will be able to demonstrate how they marshal/leverage their multiple literacies (e.g., speaking, listening, reading, multilingual writing, translating, multimodality, etc.) to support their writing processes.
Through the assignments I have completed throughout the course, I have created several projects that showcase my reading and writing skills, particularly through the use of multimodality. The weekly multimedia content analysis assignments, in particular, have been really helpful in fulfilling this outcome.

Variation across Contexts
Students will be able to identify, analyze, and reflect on variations in rhetorical and linguistic patterns, including their own, from a range of contexts (e.g., cultural, digital, workplace, and academic).
By reading different peers' work and engaging in peer reviews, I was able to gain perspective on various people's writing. The pieces of literature we read and the videos we watched have also helped me understand different types of contexts. One such example was a reading where English was not used in its normal context but with slang, which was new to read but also gave me a fresh perspective on writing.

Decision Making & Production
Students will be able to produce writing that demonstrates their ability to navigate choices and constraints when writing for specific audiences, genres, and purposes.
Given the guidelines for the assignments and the prompts we were supposed to write for, I fulfilled this outcome by changing my writing depending on what was asked and whom I needed to present to, such as the students in the class. I also had to change my writing style depending on what assignment I was doing such as between free-writes and my major assignments.

Writing and Power
Students will be able to examine and act critically on the relationship among identity, literacy, language, and power.
With the help of the multimedia content analysis assignments, I believe that I understood the relationship between identity, literacy, language, and power, especially when applying it to real-world contexts in my writing. The different pieces of writing that I have read have brought about new perspectives on how I could write my own writing and how others have used language in their own ways to express their thoughts. I have also analyzed how power plays a role in literature through some of my multimedia content analysis submissions as well.

Revision
Students will be able to negotiate differences and act with intention on feedback from readers when drafting, revising, and editing their writing.
After receiving feedback from the peer reviews, I was able to edit my writing to make my assignment submissions more apt and properly worded. Thanks to the peer reviews, teacher feedback, and the help of multiple drafts on the major assignments, I was able to refine my writing while also recognizing my weaknesses and identifying areas for improvement. This process allowed me to produce well-written essays that effectively adhere to the rubric.
